Account and data deletion

Delete your Rouse data

Core data lives on your phone. If you connected optional Google backup, Rouse also created a Firebase account and one scrubbed cloud-backup document for the Google account you selected.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Rouse → Settings → Your data.
  2. To keep local data but remove the cloud copy, turn off Cloud backup and confirm Delete Google backup.
  3. To remove local and cloud data together, choose Delete everything and confirm.
  4. If deletion is interrupted, keep backup off and use Retry cloud deletion when a connection is available.
Scope: this deletes the Rouse Firestore backup and Rouse Firebase account. It does not delete your Google Account, and it does not cancel or refund a Google Play purchase.

If the app will not open

Email support@binarydatatechnology.com from the Google account selected for backup. Do not send passwords, ID tokens, purchase tokens or payment details. We will provide the authenticated steps needed to locate and delete the Rouse account.

Local-only data

Uninstall Rouse, clear its storage in Android Settings, or use Delete everything. Android device backup is controlled separately in Android Settings → Google → Backup.
